NexQR

1. Overview

NexQR ("we", "our", or "the app") is a QR code scanner and generator for iOS and Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how it is used, and your choices.

2. Data We Access — and Why

Camera
Used solely to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. Camera frames are processed on-device and are never transmitted to any server.

Photo Library
Accessed only when you choose "Scan from Photo" to select an image. The image is processed on-device to detect QR codes and is never uploaded or stored externally.

Contacts
Accessed only when you choose "Import from Phone Book" on the Contact Card screen. Contact data is used solely to pre-fill the QR generation form on your device. We never read, copy, or transmit your contacts to any server.

3. Data We Store Locally

NexQR stores the following data only on your device using local storage:

• Your scan and generation history (QR code content, type, and timestamp)
• Your favourites / pinned QR codes
• Your streak and badge progress
• Your widget preferences
• Whether you have unlocked NexQR Pro

None of this data is transmitted to NexQR servers or any third party (except as described in Section 4 for advertising). You can delete all local data at any time via History → Clear All.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

NexQR shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to serve personalised ads and measure ad performance.

On iOS 14.5 and later, NexQR will ask for your permission before allowing AdMob to access your IDFA. You may deny this permission and NexQR will continue to work normally; you will simply see non-personalised ads.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off NexQR
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

5. In-App Purchases

NexQR offers a one-time "NexQR Pro" purchase processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple / Google under their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party. The only third-party service that may receive data from NexQR is Google AdMob (described in Section 4).

7. Children's Privacy

NexQR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Retention

All locally stored data (history, preferences, Pro status) remains on your device until you delete the app or clear it manually. We do not retain any data on our servers.

9. Your Rights

Because NexQR stores data only on your device and does not transmit personal data to our servers, you have full control over your data at all times. You may:

• Delete your scan history at any time from the History screen
• Revoke camera, photo, or contact permissions in your device Settings at any time
• Opt out of ad tracking as described in Section 4
• Delete the app to remove all locally stored data

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of NexQR after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
