Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ScanPro (the "App"), developed by Vijay Kumar ("Developer", "I", "me"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You may:

Scan, edit, and manage documents for personal or business use.
Share PDFs generated by the App.

You may not:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
Use the App to scan, store, or distribute unlawful content.
Circumvent or attempt to bypass the premium subscription system.
Use the App to infringe third-party copyrights or privacy rights.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

ScanPro offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly, annual) and a one-time lifetime purchase via Apple's In-App Purchase system, managed by RevenueCat.

Billing: Charges are applied to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: Manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
Refunds: All refund requests are handled by Apple. I do not process refunds directly.
Restore: Use the "Restore Purchases" option in the App to restore a previous purchase on a new device.

4. Free Tier Limitations

Free users are subject to a daily scan limit. The specific limit may change at any time. Upgrading to a premium plan removes all limits.

5. Advertising

The free version of ScanPro displays ads served by Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads. I am not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

6. User Content & Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the documents you scan, store, and share using the App. I do not access, review, or take responsibility for any content you create or process with the App. Do not use the App to handle documents you are not authorised to reproduce.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates OCR.space for text extraction, RevenueCat for subscription management, and Google AdMob for advertising. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. I am not responsible for the availability or behaviour of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. OCR accuracy depends on image quality and is not guaranteed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. My total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

I may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Changes to Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
